Haymaking on the Downs

We spent an afternoon on the Downs, the original plan being for the children to cycle round. We found that there was haymaking going on. It appears it may have been the last sunny day of the summer. The children found that by putting the rear wheel of one bike against the front wheel of another bike it makes the wheel turn. There were points where they had all wheels turning!

Scouts and Cubs are now mixed and Beth has just joined. Chris went along to watch the ceremony

Farewell Lucy, Welcome Minny

Unfortunately the hamster Lucy has died, quite suddenly. We have a new addition to the family, she is another very cute Syrian hamster and has taken a special place in it.

Lost a fireplace

It is time to bid farewell to our living room fireplace. It has served us well for toasting marshmallows and toes, even if aesthetically it has been a disgrace!

Lisa and Andy's wedding

It was wonderful to go to Lisa and Andy's wedding. Lisa introduced me to Chris many years ago and we are always grateful to her.
