New Years Eve

After our busy day in Bristol and a couple of patients seen in Gloucester it was off to Plymouth for New Year. We did all our eating at Ann and Jon's house. I think they were tremendously brave. Would you have these three for meals more than once in a year? Ann had us all for about 6 meals she deserves a medal.


Jacob coped supremely well with all the girls around and really enjoyed watching them all. Next year he will be running nearly as fast as them!
Here's our girls in their new matching pyjamas Barbie Pegasus. Faith had a set too but we forgot to get a photo with all 3 of them in their pj's it was a really cute sight.

Bowling and Walking

We took the girls bowling for the first time ever between Christmas and New Year and with all the help children are given (balls don't go in the gutter and they have an aiming device) it was found that the children beat the adults!!This is Asher with Maureen.

After bowling comes a picnic in the boot of the car. Now I see why you get estate cars.



Alex just isn't big enough to go in the boot yet, maybe next time!
There were 9 on the rocks......!

It wasn't a warm day and Chris didn't have a warm coat so he borrowed the orange waterproof to keep the wind off. We weren't about to lose him.


It was a fun day and we have to give loads of thanks to the Beckers for making it so fun.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was as always exciting and great fun. Despite one time check from Beth in the middle of the night it wasn't too uncivilised a start to the day. We opened stockings and then came downstairs to see what was under the duvet covers!!!!The bike and scooter were well received despite the look on Rebekah's face in this photo.
After Church we were all seen up and down the road with the girls on their new modes of transport and after a beautiful Christmas dinner of Duck (much nicer than turkey) Solomon joined the girls as we went to the local duck pond to feed the ducks with bikes etc in tow. Not sure if the children saw the irony of feeding the ducks just after they had fed us!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was the day to go and visit Santa. We went with Solomon and Felix and had a wonderful time riding on a little steam train round to where Santa's grotto was.The children clearly loved it.Mind you the adults in the party were pretty excited too.
Evening meal at Grandma's. Spaghetti Bolognese not sure what Felix thought of the bolognese but letting him sit next to Uncle Chris was obviously a mistake,
the spaghetti did all go in eventually.

Solomon preferred the proffiter roles and especially the sauce.
Dad just found the excitement too much!

School plays

Hi there just thought I'd update some stuff from last month it really is January but as I haven't posted anything since Nov I thought I ought to put the correct date for the events shown!!!!

Beth had a Christmas show which was very well done it was a circus show and Beth was the assistant to the chap with the flea circus act. It was a very colourful spectacle with lots of fun.(despite the lack of Christmas in it)

Rebekah's show on the other hand was also well done but was a nativity tableau. It was really cute with shepherds getting in the say of Mary and Joseph on the way to Bethlehem and kings who practically threw their gifts at the baby Jesus. Rebekah was an angel (costume wise) and as she came to the front she had her wings spread out wide. I love all that sort of thing as do most of the parents.

We have also had a Christmas puppet show at Church this week and it was fantastic the children were all riveted and the adults all sat laughing at the humour in it. All in all a great success.
