Ashton Court

We took a friend (Emily) out for a walk at Ashton Court with Paul and Annette. Once again it was muddy and yet lots of fun. We had hoped to see the deer in the park but with the amount of noise the girls were making that wasn't likely.

How to get children to do their laundry!

Grandma and Grandad have gone home so I have the girls to myself. There are always lots of jobs to do around the house and getting the girls involved is always a challenge. Anything that is not play is not welcome.




So make it a game!

Wear your clean underwear on your head!

For some reason this helps get the job done!

Horseworld

We spent a great day at Horseworld in south Bristol.
The girls enjoy some 'exercise' in the hay barn.



The drop slide was something that Beth really wasn't sure about and spent ages sitting at the top of before pushing herself off and then going on it repeatedly! There was another girl there probably aged 10 or more and she and Beth sat talking at the top for quite a while, watching other children going on it. Rebekah decided she wanted a go and Chris held her hand and then dropped her off the edge. Once she had gone once she did it again and again!


The evening was taken up by watching old movies from when I was small. Rebekah wouldn't turn her chair round to look at the screen until the pictures really started there, she was absolutely convinced that the film would come on the TV instead. Once the film started she kept asking when she would be on the film!! (The movies we were looking at were from the early 1970's)

Woodchester Park

A walk at Woodchester Park near Stroud was great for seeing ice, slush and snow. We had to really hold on to the girls when going downhill or they would have slipped over. (even more than they did anyway!)

The snow has come to Bristol!
A rare occasion, so we built a snowman.
Sarah had to leave for work early as the motorways would be slow, and the girls went to play on the school playing fields.
They have one male teacher at the school and he was the target for most of the snowballs...
will the snow still be here this evening? time will tell!
