Bradford on Avon

Out for a walk with Caroline near Bradford on Avon we walked along by the river and then back by the canal before a pub lunch. A very pleasant way to spend a Saturday. As we were walking back we came up to a dog that was struggling to swim back to the side of the canal. It had apparently jumped in after refusing to cross the foot bridge over the canal. The trouble was this dog was all muscle and had no ability to swim whatsoever. After throwing it a rope and encouraging it vigorously its owner eventually went into the water to get the animal. As the water was freezing cold it's owner was not best pleased and declared it to be thoroughly in the dog house. The crazy thing is it wasn't the first time the stupid dog had done this!!!

A mouse in the house!

The girls were sitting at the table this morning eating their breakfast, when they excitedly proclaimed "theres a mouse!"
And sure enough there was. I could not resist the challenge and set about trapping said rodent. I think it must have been a young mouse as it was easily persuaded to enter a box, and even with its stongest jump it couldnt get out. After it jumped Rebekah remarked "It tried to bite me!"
It was such a pretty thing that the girls wanted to keep it. Alas I was heartless and sent it to Siberia (under the shed) there it will stay until it finds its way back inside or the neighbours cat eats it.
