Things children say 3

After taking Rebekah into the ladies toilets the other day and explaining to her that this really was the girls toilets, she informed me that she was glad she was a girl. She then turned to a friend of ours who was washing her hands and asked her if she was a girl.
She got the obvious reply of "yes".
Rebekah then responded with " every day?"
Not sure quite what to make of that, maybe we need to have a discussion about boys and girls and that it isn't what you feel like on any given day that makes the difference!

Dance the afternoon away!

Beth and I have spent the afternoon watching loads of dancers at the hippodrome in Bristol. Ballroom dancing looks like a great way to get fit but also a great way to collect injuries. I'm sure if I tried half of the moves they manage with very little effort I would end up in hospital!

Our swimmer strikes again

Beth has earned her swimming national level 1, and just to make sure I used all my spare pennies she got her 10m badge as well. I think I need to teach her how to sew with a sharp needle so she can add these to her towel.

Dorset here we come!

We've just spent a lovely weekend in Dorset with Chris' family minus his brother.
We stayed in 2 caravans and Ann cooked for 10 I really don't know how she did it and remained sane! I was in charge of puddings - good job everyone likes chocolate.

the girls liked their cosy room which housed 6 nicely, 2 girls, 1 rabbit, 1 fish, a dog and a koala!
Rebekah finally decided that she is capable of pedalling and stearing at the same time. (well for a little while anyway)

Beth shows off her breakdancing skills learnt at holiday club.

Rebekah and Faith

Corfe Castle- cold and ruined but impressive (Chris wants me to point out it is the castle that is cold, ruined and impressive not him!)

Thomas and another steam train came past to much excitement.

It had been a cold trip out but it's nice to snuggle with a sister.

The girls teach Grandpa about the Gruffalo- you do know what a grufallo is don't you? It has terrible teeth and terrible claws and terrible teeth in its terrible jaws, it has nobbly knees and turned out toes and a poisenous wart at the end of its nose, its eyes are orange, its tongue is black, it has purple prickles all over its back- oh and mice like to eat it as gruffalo crumble.

A trip to Lulworth cove was rather on the cold side and definately wet! Jacob had the best idea at this point and was asleep in the car, somehow he persuaded Grandpa that it would be a good idea to sleep in the car with him. Grandpa didn't put up much resistance.

Borrowed camera

We've borrowed a camera so normal mad service can be resumed. My parents have been to stay for a couple of days so we made the most of sunny weather and went out.
Beth just before her tooth came out. (I know no one else is interested but I am a dentist!!)
