Beth has continued with her swimming expolits. On Saturday she swam 100 m and today got a badge for 50m. Read what she has to say about it.

Penguin becomes a dolphin

Beth has been moved up again in her swimming. I'm not sure quite how she has managed to do so well. It seemed like she was going to stay in tadpoles which is level 1 swimming for absolutely ages and then has moved up to level 5 within the year.

A Walk in the Mendips

We went for a walk in the Mendips with a group from church. The girls did very well. It was 3 miles long and much of that distance was uphill. I was amazed at the speed they made going both up and down hill. It was a fantastic walk with a strong wind at the top.









This rock is called the Rock of Ages
It is called that because the Rev Toplady sheltered there and wrote the hymn Rock of Ages.

Alien song- "I will survive"

I've just found this on you tube and it is one we were sent as an email years ago. I still think it is one of the funniest clips of video we have ever received. (maybe I'm just warped)
If you love the song I will survive and don't want to always see an alien every time you hear the song then don't watch the clip but otherwise it is great fun and I love thinking of this strange alien every time I hear this song!!!

Happy Birthday Sarah and Happy Anniversary

It is Sarah's birthday today and as a treat we went off to Westonbirt arboretum while the girls were at school.

But today is also the anniversary of our engagement which also took place at the arboretum. So off we went in search of the tree under which I popped the question. Here are 2 photos, the first is 11 years ago, it was cold and damp that day as well.
